There are still many opportunities to eat even when taking the essiac tea three times per day. You can have food 1 hour after essiac and 2 hours before your essiac.

For example, if you have Essiac at 6am, Essiac at noon, and Essiac at 6pm then your eating windows are 7am-10am, 1pm-4pm, and 7pm-11pm.

11:00am Take Essiac (you can bring it with you in a thermos with a few ice cubes if you are out and about).

9:00 Take Essiac

That is five meals/snacks...plus you can have unlimited fruit or vegetable juice while taking essiac during the "empty stomach" time. Of course, if you don't require three meals and two snacks a day, it will be even easier to get your essiac in on an empty stomach.
